Week 1: Day 1

Chapter 5. Duddits part 1.
In this chapter you come across Duddits, a mentally challenged kid that the boys become friends with. They also find themselves looking back on their days in middle school, 8th-9th grade and how things were the first time they went up to the Hole in the Wall (their hunting cabin).
Henry and Pete almost hit a girl, who we later find out is named Becky. Henry and Pete decide that they're going to find something, to drag Becky, who won't say one word to them, to one of the warming sheds they know is up ahead. So they do, while Henry leaves Pete and Becky back in the shed, to go get a snow mobile to bring them to the cabin.
Pete, an alcholic, decides he's going to return to scout, their car, for beer. He leaves Becky and a fire at the shed. His knee was hurt in the accident so it takes him a while to get back to scout. When he does, he gets his beer and leaves. He later, on his way back, stops, hearing a humming noise. He looks up and sees the lights in the sky that Becky and McCarthy have been talking about. He comes up with a name in his head, Marcy.Pete isn't sure who Marcy is, but he knows that it's a name he should keep track of, this is when he realizes that the woman at the shed's name is Becky.
So as of now, we know a few things. McCarthy and Becky were right about the lights. Henry and Pete have seen them, and they susspect that it's making the animals migrate. Pete is an alcholic, and that the name Marcy is slightly important but we're not sure why yet.
This is a picture of Northern Maine, the setting of the book. I'm trying to make the picture in my head, and I thought I'd share.
