Duddits's story

In chapter 6, we learn more about Duddits, and how the boys come to meet him. They were going to check out a picture of the Homecoming queen, when they hear screams coming from the baseball diamond a few feet away. They all run over there to see this boy, Duddits, and three bigger kids beating him up. When the find him, he's half naked and bleeding and covered in dirt and the bigger kids are trying to get him to eat dog sh!t.
The story goes that they see the Homecoming king, Richie, and Henry decides he's going to threaten to tell the whole town of this bullying. Like anybody would, Richie threatens the boys, but then Pete chimes in. He talks about how fast he can run and tell his mom who is bullying, where, and to have the police come, because he can do it and nobody would be able to catch him.
So Richie backs off a bit, telling them that it's "not worth his time" and that "he doesn't need to waste time on someone who's not worth it" and blah blah blah, mainly just talk.
So the boys meet Duddits half naked, bleeding and crying, and that's how it all starts. Odd way to start a friendship if you ask me
In this picture, you see Duddits, played by Donnie Wahlberg.
